This wiki is a privately-researched directory and should be used for informational purposes only. Directory listings are not an official or authorized web presence for any of these organizations, and PortlandHomeless.net is not a mediary for any organization listed herein. Contact agencies directly with any questions or comments meant for them.
No content or description is meant as legal or medical advice. Contact emergency services 9-1-1 if you are in a life-threatening situation.
The information on this directory represents a point in time (around February 2026) when this was researched. Agency web sites and other source material sometimes appeared as though they were not maintained thoroughly, and therefore no guarantee can be made for its accuracy when its data was posted here. Users are strongly encouraged to double-check with the agency for current status and service days and times. Effort will be made to update any agency status if reliable data sources can be found. See contact page for update policy.
Thank you.
PortlandHomeless.net is an experiment exploring whether online resources can become more community-oriented, leading to greater community ownership. Although it is currently privately maintained, the goal is to identify trusted editors who can help keep the data current and contribute ideas for improving and expanding the directory.
The founder and chief editor is a former full-time street outreach worker, homeless advocate, and Portland resident. The intent is to keep this resource free of advertisements and commercial sponsorship. The only outside material displayed would be links to related projects or occasional requests for support if the scope becomes too large or complex to manage independently. The future—whether success or failure—is difficult to predict, but this reflects the current mindset.
The original source data for the directory listings came from the Rose City Resource Guide, used with permission from Street Roots. Many listings were later verified by reviewing agency websites, and service descriptions were sometimes incorporated into the directory.
No data from Portland 211 was used in creating the directory listings, other than its own agency description as it appears in the Rose City Resource Manual. See this for context. PortlandHomeless.net has no affiliation with 211, government agencies, Street Roots, or any organization listed in the directory. It is a wholly private effort offered for the public’s benefit.
The creators believe that knowledge about community resources should be openly shared so access and presentation can continually improve, rather than being restricted as copyrighted data. Sincere thanks are extended to Street Roots for their openness and willingness to share the Rose City Resource Manual, making this effort possible.
