The information on this directory represents a point in time (around February 2026) when this was researched. Agency web sites and other source material sometimes appeared as though they were not maintained thoroughly, and therefore no guarantee can be made for its accuracy when its data was posted here. PortlandHomeless.net is an experiment to see if online resources can be more community-oriented leading to more community ownership. While now privately-maintained, the goal is to identify potential trusted editors to contribute and keep the data current, as well as come up with ways to improve and expand it.
The founder and chief editor is a former homeless advocate and Portland resident who intends to keep this resource free of ads with no commercial sponsorship. The only outside material displayed would be links to other projects, or solicitations for support should the scope become too big or complex to maintain. It’s hard to predict the future—success or failure—but that is the current mindset.
The original source data for the directory listings came from the Rose City Resource Guide, used with permission of Street Roots. Many of the listings were then researched by examining agency websites, and descriptions of services were sometimes copied into the directory.
Absolutely no data from Portland 211 was used in the creation of directory listings other than its own agency description from the Rose City Resource Manual.
