DESCRIPTION: Spectrum of shelter opportunities for those experiencing houselessness in the Portland Metro area. Including low-barrier congregate, clean & sober, motels, villages, and housing retention support. All shelters have a Veteran-preference. Shelters provide meal services, showers and hygiene care, support services, case management, and housing navigation. Individuals age 18 and older. // Veteran: Veteran-priority and Veteran-specific shelter and service provider. Options include Veteran-priority bridge housing, permanent housing, low-barrier and alternative shelters. Shelter locations also provide meal services, showers and hygiene care, support services, case management and housing navigation. Call or fill out referral online. // Housing: Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is subsidized housing where residents have a lease and access to voluntary, on-site case management, peer support services, and community activities. All of our PSH programs are Veteran-specific, meaning they only serve Veteran households. To be eligible for PSH, one typically needs to be experiencing chronic houselessness, low income, and have one or more disabilities.
