DESCRIPTION: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, helps low-income people and families buy the food they need. Benefits are provided on a debit card and are accepted at most grocery stores. You can apply for a SNAP card at the following locations, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri., or get more information at the Oregon Department of Human Services website.
